Senior Accountant

LOCATION:

CONTRACT RESEARCH DIVISION –
SCARBOROUGH, ON

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for the preparation and completion of the period end closing process
• Prepare cash forecasting for corporate submission
• Maintain all records associated with Capital Appropriation Requests, including additions and disposals
• Process invoices to clients for services pursuant to contractual commitments and provide timely & accurate reports relating to the status of the A/R sub-ledger
• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation for and during external and internal audits
• Ensure that all assigned activities & actions fall within SOX and GAAP guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum post-secondary education in accounting
• Must be working towards Accounting designation or possess equivalent working experience
• 5 years general experience
