POSITION:

Lab Support Analyst

LOCATION:

Biovail Contract Research – Scarborough

REPORTING TO:

Manager, Laboratory Calibration and Validation

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

1. Ensuring all lab supplies and equipment are available for use by the lab staff. 
2. Executing validation (software and Hardware) protocols (IQ/OQ) related to lab equipment (HPLC, LC-MS/MS etc).
3. Administrating and maintaining databases for pipette-, RSM-, plasma-, and HPLC column-systems.
4. Recording and maintaining TMS daily reports and logs. Handling the TMS pager and responding appropriately to any alarms (out of hours).
5. Ensuring the lab is clean and organized. 
6. Assist the sample coordinator in receiving, transferring, discarding and shipping samples.
7. Assist other lab staff as required.
8. Assist the Coordinator, Instrument Calibration and Validation when required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Has completed a Bachelor of Science or college program in analytical chemistry, or pharmaceutical sciences with chemistry laboratory course exposure. General knowledge of Laboratory procedures and activities.
